Frederik Mølkjær Andersen, PhD Fellow
I'm a PhD student at the Section for Health Data Science and AI at the University of Copenhagen. My work focuses on using mathematical models to better understand biological and health-related systems. I mostly work with stochastic processes and computational methods, aiming to connect theoretical models with the real world.
At the moment I work a lot with:
- Stochastic trees and branching processes
- Mathematical phylogenetics
- Inference from stochastic processes
More broadly, I'm interested in:
- Probability theory and stochastic processes
- Computational statistics
- Evolution and phylogenetics
- Infectious disease epidemiology
- Science and math communication
